the slight Oppenheimer-like tone where you see them slowly realizing they’re creating a monster by “actually teaching her to fight properly.” you see it on pg 14 when Akane sees the results of the mastered “light jab”.

For a goofy sports comedy manga, the fights in this manga is pretty realistically brutal

Well both punches were on her cheek, so while her skull and jaw might be broken and she might have lost a few teeth she's probably not going to be dead dead, assuming we're going for some sort of realistic take on boxing damage that is.
