Didn’t MC start playing at the same time as everyone else? He seems so OP that it’s hard to imagine many others already being outside the beginner village, but then again, he has been soloing...

@Wreavant Don't forget how long he spend depositing money and rerolling, he also spend the EXP bonus duration grinding. So they could be ahead of him, even if only 'progression wise'

I think you misunderstood, he's talking about people who are not playing yet
and even for others, he's killing a lvl 10 boss just to open a door to the rest of the world.
he did this at the same time that teams were looking for information on bosses lvl 6
these areas was still empty
so can assume that in other villages they are at the same level
so far from having opened access to the rest of the maps
it is even probable that it is not possible to change the starting village, after having chosen it

he started the game at the same time as everyone else, moreover it started earlier than many players, because those who have hardware like him has priority for entering the server
but it is true that he has "lost" time for awakening skill and for obtaining a hidden occupation, as much as players who do not have the best equipment to play
he was also told that it was more comfortable to play longer time with his equipment than with simple helmet

a yes you're right !
so he's at the same level of knowledge as the others, especially when these players have lost time to do the quests for the stick and probably other ridiculous stuff

as for lvl I would like to add
they had only XP x5 for a few hours more than him
and group combat is only for xp non-combat classes players, fight against bosses, or monster hords
he's doing this alone and I doubt he'll be weaker and less faster for xp than a team who will have to share the xp
