I wonder what the author intends to do with the main love triangle. Don't think they have the balls for a throuple ending but Kanade's crush isn't being defeated either.
I think she'll be rejected with the implication that at some point in the future she'll be able to move on, narratively it would make sense since the whole manga has been about Yukimura and Himuro with not early much room for her.
Having said that, I can see an ending where the two protagonists become a couple and then immediately declare they're starting a new love research project that needs Lanade's help so they'll let her in their relationship.

I am curious about the resolution the author is giving to Kanade. He introduced her in the mix after a great confession chapter and imho it wasn´t a great idea. Besides, in every experiment she seems to be like a third wheel but the author hasn´t given up on her yet so I don´t know. In these last chapters she seems to make Yukimura jealous but along with Himuro so... All in all I hope her former teacher thinks about her and she can have a good ending. I cannot see any scenario when Himuro and Yukimura are not the endgame. Maybe the author can pull some stunt with result of the investigation resulting in a Yukimura x Kanade outcome which could force Ayame and Yukimura yo say "fuck the experiment" and confess. I don´t know, just wondering.

I agree that adding her as a 3rd person wasn't a good idea. It's quite clear that the main two are the end goal. Tbh I think it's quite realistic that she wouldn't be able to move on from him so quickly as they see each other in the lab very often.

Maybe the aim was to just make Yukimura more aware of romantic feelings and not see everything as just research? He was still quite in denial about his feelings for a while after all. Usually that's achieved by introducing a male love rival but...
