It's not reasonable, that's the thing. Resentment and hatred just boil over, Masato targeted Okatani by mere association with their father, he took everything that Okatani had as a twisted insult to his existence as a bastard child, it doesn't make sense to anyone but him, hatred is often not rational.
Agree with all the above, although in his defense, he does prove his point AND getting revenge on his dad, now MC family is broken beyond repair just like his.
MC wife and kid are ripple effect, and MC too is aware of that. If not with cuck bro, one day his wife will cheat on him with someone else, someone that she sees as BETTER than MC. Now he knows and aware that his wife neither love nor cherish him as much as he does to her.

Probably, she definitely has her flaws and is a spectacular piece of shit.
With the backstory it's gotten a bit too melodramatic between this chapter and the last, honestly I don't think you'd need the backstory. Pure spite or envy being reason enough to homewreck, or hell even carelessness would've worked. I think most people that cheat it'll be opportunity as the highest priority in why, boredom probably second after that. The family aspect is just undercooked since it's basically just introduced and then revealed. I think we've seen MC's parents once before.

I knew what's going to happen already since I saw the raws ages ago, but I will finally say that I'm really disappointed with this manga.
Ayaka is barely a character, only a plot point, when the story is about her cheating on the MC, she doesn't have any character and instead the guy she's cheating on with is far more important.
The author also couldn't make the MC anything but a saint, so he just let the girl and her mentor who tried to frame him with child rape go, as if being a retarded pushover is being kind. Why would you do that? Ruin them! What if they do the same thing to someone else? This is common in a lot of manga bu lt it's egregious here. This isn't being a good person! And the mangaka should really have given the antagonist better reason to want to destroy MC, people will give whatever reason as to how him wanting to destroy his life is fine but he was literally so, sooo good to him, maybe he could've stolen his GF in HS, something that could've been his fault but NOOOO, he can never do anything wrong.

His wife couldn't even give a shit about him getting hit by a car! That would have been a great opportunity to show her thoughts, but nope! These aren't characters, they're charicatures!

The objective is basically trying to guilt-trip the father and making him hate the father too. Basically he is suffer because of his father. To the father, he also wants to say, "I will make your son SUFFER and HATES you for it like you did to ME!". He can't see the father as the ideal father anymore because of it, as same as he can't see her going-to-be-ex-wife the same again after the cheating.
Revenging on the Father is way too easy. While it sounds stupid, but it somehow will make him a martyr and people will still remember him as a "good father". This way, even if the father's alive, the reputation will be damaged in the long term.
"Just because I'm affiliated to you, I'm suffering because of you, I hate you for what you did!". More or less...
Anyhow, it's not like the wife is guilt-free of this. Under no circumstances did she get forced to do the adultery. It is on her own volition, and while it has nothing to do with his father, she has to bear responsibility for cheating on her husband. So the best thing he can do for him, as an old friend, is to keep it secret from his Wife, so possibly he would win the custody. From the beginning, he never cared about his wife. His wife is just a tool to make him suffer.
Aside of that, I dunno if it's axed so the author paced up the momentum or he's planned this way.

As I wrote above, his aim is to destroy his daddy family. If his ONLY SON is ruined, so does the father family will destroyed socially.
I guess he has a change of heart post he owe his life to MC, which he decide to explain everything, from his real motive and how he give impression to not bother MC anymore.
