LOL I'm just here for the popcorn, soda and the whack comments. It's a comic for Heaven's sake. Stop transferring real world anxieties and insecurities onto it. That's what your EAP benefits are for. Use them and talk to a pro. It's a story, it's entertainment. Things are embellished and exaggerated for story reasons.

What does he think that name is actually referring to "something inside of him" instead of someone else from her past or something? Did I miss the point where he realised something about his wife?

My question as well. Unless he has a vague idea about the whole thing or what she is going through, there is literally no way to interpret her mumblings as something as profound as that. And its in a language he has never heard as well. How does he even know what she is referring to?

I admit I was a bit "ugh" when all the dudes in this chapter seemed to just be flustered and panicking over "woman having period!" because it's just treating the whole situation as a gag instead of having even one of them possess some basic knowledge.
I know they're all usually on the frontier for the most part, but one of them mentioned having a wife, so I was hoping this wouldn't be just "guy is clueless and ignorant about Woman Things" as is so often the case in all manner of media. (Like his asking the maid "isn't there a cure" to which she very understandably snapped at him in response.)

But I will give MC points for stepping up and doing what he can to help the FMC out and pushing through his panic and embarrassment to try and alleviate her suffering, instead of hiding away because "I don't know what any of this means". It's very in-tune with his character up to this point, but it's enough of a deviation from the oft-depicted basement-level attitude of men in these sorts of things that I'll give credit where it's due.
Most guys even with wives are completely clueless about women things.

He knows something right ? When she said the Jap name, he instantly thought "something inside me", and not "she is saying some other dude name"
Either way, feelsbadman.
He also didn't think: "She must need something, she's hurting, I need to find medicine or massage her again." things his character would 100% think based on everything we've seen.

Yeah this is my issue so far and what will likely make me drop this series. He is portrayed as this super reliable man since he has made so many military exploits but then he acts like he is 10 when it comes down to anything that requires him to think or understand anything. Doesn't need to be a playboy or a conniving bastard but c'mon have at least more than 2 braincells rubbing up against each other every chapter.
They should have made everyone younger with their current personalities.
But instead, we have MC who is around 20 something I think even close to 30 years old and he is constantly acting like a teenager that never met a cute girl.
It's really cringey for real

her bf on earth, who died while protecting her from a knife swinging maniac. She tells MC everything about it later in Volume 1.
About that,
It's the male protagonist her BF reincarnation, yes or not?
Because I remember someone saying "No" in a previous chapter comments.
And frankly.... That kind of sucks.
It feels kinda like NTR in a way.
MC liking her while she may only be feeling attracted to him because of him having a similar personality to her ex. Even if they come with some "But I ended up falling for you for real!" It will still mean FMC will continue liking MC for a while just because she thinks he is her BF reincarnation.

you pretty much summed it up. He is NOT the reincarnation.

He reminds her of her bf from earth and at first that’s why she liked him. It is pretty sad that the earring shopping was the point she realized that she loved our MC and he wasn’t just a replacement for her dead bf anymore. Took her quite a while.
