I recall the story at the start saying there were very few awakened peopel at all, and that for every superior tier the rarity got higher, so wargods were like the choosen ones, the previous arc hinted it had MULTIPLE fighting on the field around and dying like bitches, or just below that tier.
Of course all the infighting in the merc assoc made humanity lose strenght, but they even said that the mercs were one association and their unique point was being neutral and not controlled by the corrupt bastards in the capital, the villain that just got slayed wanted to take control for hsi own crazy desire and it would have made it lose its neutrality.
Unfortunately like it always happens in this kind of story as the MC grows up more people of the same tier appear when the story outright denied that possible at the start.
Don't forget the old wargod that protected the pink hair heroine, by seeing all the battles after he doesn't deserve the term of wargod, no incredible power, no territory, no unique techinque, all ebcause at that time a wargod was just a bit above MC own battle power.
Wargods should be incredibly rare, they even say how weird is to see many around in their own building, but even seeing a few in the place would break the rule the story started with.
And with so many around and some being mercs they had no one avaiable to defend the military base with the alien fruits? What a idiocy.
And I remember MC friend being troubled/bullied at the start as both were at a low level, another idiocy, even his his uncle is not wargod tier growth is slow and that means he was just below that level, no one would bully the family of someone that strong in tht weak city.
