Being a kid is scary, we often forget how fickle we are. we can get jealous, we get competitive, we get selfish, and we can very well easily hate our love ones. Its so easy to fall down and become lost in dangerous thoughts. At the end, im glad italo became better at the end of it, though he could've been very well like douglas.
