This manga started with high magic and monsters but then went to basically early Medieval realism. Now there's magic again.

not really? the only monster that appeared in the manga are the wolves, and the first waifu who is a vampire, also she before this shaman was the only one to use magic, so while yeah later became more realistical and less fantasy, the magic sistem in this world seem to be the type where magic is very rare, normaly in this type of stories the mc is a mage or have something magical aroud him, so the magic feel more present even if in that type world you could pass your entire lifetime without seeing magic, but in this manga the mc is not a mage so it seem "rarer"



basically you can expect that magic will disappear again and reappear only in a interval of 50 chapters or similar, unless obviosly magic become more involved with a new girl who is a mage/magic guys cospirancy or kingdom that uses lages ammounts of mage begin a war/involves themselves with mc
