Ah, the good old"beat up a strong character from earlier in the story to make the new character look stronk" it always has the whiff of shitty shounen. 😂

Why does every supernatural ability have to be referenced as a stand?

If you’re a true anime connoisseur, you’ll know that her power is clearly a reference to That’s So Raven.

@Vandrer to be fair if someone have precognition and martial arts experience, it's kinda an OP combo. It eliminates any guessing game.

I am not sure she is seeing the future. I think she rewinds slightly to the past. If it is unlimited then it is really scary.

Knowing what is going to happen and having the ability to stop it are two completely different things, as we'll see when she messes with the wife.

@Gimmy That is one part of mind reading/foresight abilities that I wish more works put to use.
Every time I see it used, the answer is always to not think about anything or find a way to block
the opponents ability to see the future. I wish more works would go with the "too fast to avoid"
or "too strong to block, so foresight is useless" for a change.

My favorite fight of this type (that I can remember watching/reading) is from Fairy Tail of all places.
Cobra could hear Natsu's thoughts, so Happy told him to stop thinking, but he couldn't, so Natsu
being stupid wasn't any advantage. He tried to use AoE spells that Cobra couldn't defend against,
but Cobra had better response time thanks to the poison he inflicted on Natsu.

By the end of the fight, Natsu LOST. There was no way he could defeat him at that point, and instead
of pulling a transformation of friendship power up out of his ass, Natsu only escaped death because
his cries of frustration mixed with his Dragon Slaying magic made him roar like a dragon, which damaged
Cobra's ears and grounded him, ending the fight in a tie. And Cobra would have still killed Natsu if not
for the leader of Oracion Seis giving the final blow on him before he could recover, because Cobra could
still rest for a while and stand up to finish the job before Natsu got cured of the poison.

Unfortunately, I see this manga taking it up to two ways: either the powers are fake and Rokudou's group
will figure out how she's faking it (even if she has powers it won't be foresight, but something that allows her
to pretend it is), or they'll find a way to block her from seeing the future altogether.

I hope things go the way you described, but I have seen my fair share of this trope being used the exact same
way too many times to be hopeful.

I was hoping they weren’t going to job Ling Lan out to make this chick seem tough.

@VawX It's the cover art for "In the Court of the Crimson King" by King Crimson. It's a JoJo reference.

it only works when the bad guy has this power, ive seen many good guys in other mangas who can predict the opponent next move but still lose cuz "they aren't fast enough to dodge it "

Those punk from Chapter 1 were younger than Rokudou? Now I'm more curious on the half dye chick.

Sounds like you'd like the version in Mushoku Tensei then. You can get a special eye in that universe granted to you that lets you see about a second or so into the future, but trying to rely on it to beat somebody notably more skilled than you results in you seeing them do a second move at the same time as you're seeing the possible futures all together and not just one. Basically if your opponent is thinking "if he starts to do X, I'll do Y, but if he starts to do A I'll do B instead" then you need to be good enough to counter both of those moves yourself or you're just going to get confused on which they'll use and you'll get murked.

Super top tier fighters look like they're doing 20 or so moves at the same time, like some sort of weird hydra.
