It seems like she has to outright experience failure firsthand before she's able to get to the successful outcome. Kinda like that Nick Cage movie. Or just Nick Cage's movie career.
@YamiryuuZero
There's a really good fight in the later parts of Yu Yu Hakusho that does something like that. Yusuke is fighting this guy named Sensui, whose whole thing is that he can read through people's attack patterns and react lightning-fast. So, he goes to block one of Yusuke's hits and he thinks "Alright, I'll block here and bump up his fist." But the fist connects so hard that Yusuke just fuckin flattens him, even though he technically reacted fast enough.
If we talk about different ability interpretations from different works It should have ended like in Soul Eater: experimental fighter-precog just made dogeza from the get go and gave up because there is no way amateur could do anything even if he knew what's coming.
If you talk about counters, you need some pinpoint accuracy for your movement to match your thoughts and continuous precognition to match enemy adapting to your changed movement.
All kind of powers are worthless compare to Ranna. She is the final boss of this manga and will flatten everyone. I give this fortune teller chick about 20 chapters before she is destroyed by the ultimate waifu
