This whole plot btw is due to Siegfried or Sigurd if you want Nordic, is due to Brunhild being Siegfried OG wife, whom he forgot about due to a magic potion given to him by Kriemhild's mom so that he would marry Kriemhild. He later helps Gunther marry Brunhild, by being strong enough to hold her down while invisible, making her think it was Gunther holding her down.
Fast forward some years, Brunhild learned that it was Siegfried who held her down not Gunther. Made a plan to kill Siegfried, it worked, then she threw herself on his funeral pyre so that she could be with him as eternal love. So advanced yandere stuff.

I mean, Brunhild's a yandere alright. But Kriemhild's mother... She fucked her over with that potion.
