I relate to the general fact that especially young kids don’t have a developed sense of right or wrong until taught so, nor do they think about consequences before doing things. In elementary school we used to bully the fat kids and crush crawdads or bumblebees just because it was fun. Some kids playing soccer stomped a garter snake to death because “snakes are bad”. Those dragons didn’t really know the world beyond their valley. As an adult I know better now.
I believe being able to relate to, or understand people in some small modicum is necessary. Some people may be impossible to reach a mutual understanding, or simply unhinged, but compromise is what builds bridges and bonds. Painting things only in black or white creates a divide of us vs them.
That aside, they were fictional dragons, fictional characters. I’m not too bothered by their demises. I’d be less bothered if they weren’t kids though.
Lmao I’d be dead af if I destroyed school property. We were playing with BB guns at a park after school and someone called 911 that there was a “gang war” in progress cuz we were wearing hoodies to protect our faces. Understandably, the park was adjacent to a school (our school), so a bunch of police cars rolled in and they pulled out their guns and demanded we drop our weapons. We got handcuffed and taken to school despite it being after hours, and we were summarily expelled the rest of the year.
