I think it quite romance, since it is very hard to be romance between cousins/siblings. At least in Vietnam, I dont think there is easy to have romance. However, sometimes it is hilarious when someone fall in love with 3rd or 4th cousins who they dont know until introduce to their parents (of course all break up).
My friends also try to hit on his relative aunt (long list of relationship), and then, They all come to the marriage ceremony of their relative, so in the end, they broke up. His aunt is only 1 year older than him.
It is seems weird to Non-Asian People (or at least not KR, CN, JP or VN), but whenever we go to Ancestor village, about 99% people are relative but we dont know anyone. So sometimes it quitenormal to fall in love with the relative since you are not know them.

Also the cousin, many people said that their first love is their cousins (when they are very yooung, like primary)

Me also feel it weird to have first-cousin marriage between cousin, but not with the romance between them.

But I think it is quite normal with from 2nd-cousin, since we are not really blood-related. To be honest, even in Vietnam, even you have different surname, who now your ancestor not share same blood with your lover's ancestor.

So dont really need to be too serious.
