I'm not sure nor why he didn't just tell the crush that a weirdo has appeared in his place twice, hiding it will only make it worse.

As for the weirdo I'm guessing maybe she's like a ghost or something? She seems to be able to get to places constantly fast even before the MC with no natural way to do it.

I mean if a half-naked woman was hidden in my closet, I'd also wonder whether anyone would believe it was all an "accident," (like "really...a half-naked woman just so happened to sneak into your place and then hide in your closet when I came over?"). I imagine he doesn't want to chance it with a friend he likes, especially since he doesn't know what that woman might say. Just get the friend in and out (it's his place) and deal with this woman privately after.

The best theory I've seen advanced so far is that she's a zashiki-warashi type of youkai from his parents' house that left to go find him (evidence for: magical cleaning, short hair, mischievous, already knows his full name, curiously went "..." eavesdropping on the topic of his old vs. new traditional Japanese-style room). Not saying it's case closed already on that one yet, but so far the only thing against it is that she doesn't really fit the traditional "look" of one (aka not a kid in a kimono).
