@justtio
Thanks a lot for keeping at it! The translation is excellent and high quality overall!
Assuming from the chapter index from the start of the volume, the next chapter will be the last one that comes out quickly? Is there a way to donate, so you can buy the next volume (and when will that come out)?

Regarding the story: I will be actually pissed if Kato actually killed himself. I even went back and reread chapter 18 and the only indication that he might commit suicide is that he is carrying a small bag with him, when he goes back. Maybe some of the things he says, but he kind of calms down and even tells Yanagime that he will be back, which would be very weird to set up a red hering in that way - if he planned to have Kato kill himself, his last lines should have been written more ominous- I mean, the fact that the murders have been suicides all along also comes out of nowhere, but at least it's presented in a way that is believable - the brother probably cleaned them thoroughly and only in the last case there was still evidence for a suicide. I'm pretty hopeful that the author can handle this in a appropriate way, but this might just make or break the whole story for me. I believe it will have something to do with the two psychologists, but I'm thrilled to see where this is going.

Holy shit, I think I was right on Chapter 40.

The Therapist/Priest is encouraging, pushing his patients into suicide. He's making unstable, vulnerable people worse. He then tells the brother/end about the suicides and he then mutilates the bodies to hide the crime. The therapist also is the one who killed the triplets.

Not gonna lie, I thought this was going to be a case of suicide framed as murder. If you go back and look at everyone's face, none of them had the face of someone who was struggling with an attacker or being attacked. They all looked... resigned. As if they accepted their death.

Aah, so that's why the previous chapter is about the "victims" and their happy past memories.

It's both a red herring and foreshadow.

@Mervina, the suicide-made-to-seem-murder part was strongly telegraphed with the episode which first visited the shrine, in which a man was interrupted as he attempted to hang himself, and the therapist/faux-priest treated the matter rather lightly.

That therapist character keeps making appearances that are not justified unless he is part of the criminal machinery, which is weak story-telling, one way or another. If he is indeed part of the machinery, then better apparent reasons for his appearances should have been given, better to camouflage his rôle.

I also had a suspicion on the therapist. End might have some encounter with him that led to his reasoning. Back then i was like 'hm? his face didnt have the scar from the detective' cs i was thinking that it was him who came at the doorbell. Id like to know more so thanks for the updates!

This makes more sense now, still what is the damn role of the triplets in this, were they informants or was that the role of the psychologist?
