What is he thinking? even if he finds things worth insuring, he will still be in the same position of "its illegal to start a business". So why not stick with the original business and just get permission (Even if it means breaking legs... i doubt they would also stand against him at this point given what already happened)

While starting up a new cash cow is great and all, he is indeed still going to run into the same problem.
Also there is nothing preventing him from starting his old idea all over again after *coff* blackmailing *coff* persuading the nobles to give him permission/membership.

The novelty of his old company is now gone - if he starts it up again then competitors can get in early, so he might see it as better to start a new. So whether the insurance business needs the same permits or not, it's probably better to get in there instead.
(Now, whether he gets mistaken for Mafia-like insurance business, or he gets attacked by a pre-existing extortion racket, that's another question.)

While true, he also have all the things allready for setting up his old gig.
All he really had to do was recruit his old people again and he could get it up and running in a day or two...
As far as competitor goes, that is true for pretty much everything he does after awhile.
Personally i would think it's harder to replicate his system as a deliver man considering you need to train both people and animals.

@Goldenzeal I won't check back, but I did get the impression that he lost all his money and contracts.
He should be able to get staff and contracts back, and somehow find cash to get it all running again - but then his staff might already be starting out on their own, or get poached by other starter-ups.
But mostly I guess author got bored and wanted to get on to the next shenanigan instead of rehashing the last one XD

Pretty sure it was confiscated but without anybody doing the jobs, everything but the money is close to worthless.
That said it would be fairly easy to get them to give it back by threatening another visit now that he knows who helped him.
That information alone is pretty valuable to somebody who can pull off a good pokerface and lie untill he is blue.

Andy yeah, Author might want to set up another environment for another display on how awesome the MC is.
Its one thing to get lucky and make it big while starting from zero, its a nother thing to do it twice in a row.

As a reminder, it's already been mentioned that his company got seized by the government, so he used his remaining money to help his former employees settle down. He's pretty much decided to try his luck on something else.

@cullinaire That is a vary good point, but unless there is someone copying his business there shouldnt be too many running around? and most people wont run them during mating season. but you never know. im interested to see what the author comes up with.

In this day and age...is that really a good idea? I mean, sure, you'd have starting customers, but imagine what'll happen when you actually have to provide the service. Imagine what'll happen if you try cutting some people loose.

I hate insurance. It's just a big fucking scam. I despise seeing those old people life insurance commercials, it's so depressing knowing they're scamming dead old people.

I remembered why I dropped this. MC just blows. Not only does he have like no powers, his business ideas are trash.
