It has a really frustrating way of handling information about dragons (which is one of the main draws of this series)
The author constantly tells as little as possible about both dragons and Ruri. They literally have a whole chapter dedicated to her mom "infodumping" everything about dragons and her dad on her. We hear none of it and instead hear about her asking her mom for pot-au-feu. Then we have a chapter of her sharing that whole infodump with her class, and again hear nothing other than "there are six kinds of dragons, humans have only interacted with two, and they're strong enough to destroy the world". Then a few chapters later a classmate calls her out, saying he still doesn't know enough about dragons to trust her, and she says that she didn't spill everything she knew in class, so they can walk home together and she'll tell him more. Again, we don't see it.
It's hard to tell if the author is so desperate to extend the series they will only dripfeed the scantest of information to the readers, or they are so deeply insecure about the quality of their own worldbuilding they're reluctant to share it.
Whichever it is, it's lame as fuck, and after forty-two chapters, I'm dropping the series out of frustration with it.
