I guess they had their sweet final memories before the rice clobber them?

Thanks for scanlating this! It was fun while it lasted! Too bad for the axe though....

Yesterday's leftover is tomorrow's breakfast.

Nothing is left uneaten.

The double meaning behind this is very sad.

Did it get axed? Or did the author simply run out of juice? Too bad, either way, but again, maybe there is still hope somehow.

@Fuko @voliol , it was cancelled. It's unsure whether it was due to the author's poor health (the series was always on hiatus) or if it was due to the volumes selling really badly.

perhaps it was a manga about eating together all along and it doesn't matter how it ends

It doesn't matter how many generic slice of life manga I read it'll never scratch the itch like this manga could.
This manga gets canceled
Then the manga has to end on such a bitter-sweet note just oof
I'll have to go back to boring manga that everyone just eats up

Man, as much as the cancellation vexes me, those last couple pages really put a smile on my face. Great way to go out when getting food and eating a meal was such a big part of the plot.

"You're gonna carry that weight..."

Well... it was not too long but I enjoyed it so much.

Such a great manga.

I'll hope we can read another author's manga someday. I'm pretty sure he can do even better with a longer serialization.

Does anyone else think Ryoko fits perfectly with Trigger's style and concept? I'd love if they could pick this up.

Why always the good ones are that get cancelled ? Why are the generic isekai or echii bullshit run it's complete lenght ? Man.

I wish at least the rights for the manga belonged to the author so he can someday keep writing and self publish online like many people are doing nowadays.
