It's worth considering that the kid/monster didn't do anything to harm Ryota's best friend even when he was planning to kill him (in fact he gave him a sweet).

Meanwhile he chased down the girl and brutally murdered her instantly. Add in her insane grip strength and her mother telling her to stay away from other kids, and I'm getting the sense there's something very off about her.
