Sure, but what's funny is that hawtness is still part of femininity to them. Like, the women in this story can't afford to care about having hot husbands because "who cares about that stuff if our family starves to death", but the men can afford to care about having hot wives because...reasons.
In RL nomadic cultures, it doesn't usually work that way; the sexes tend to have more symmetric marriage preferences than in sedentary societies, because it's impossible for either sex to accumulate massive amounts of wealth. Everyone's looking for a spouse that's a good worker, and if they're hot, bonus, but it's not the most important thing.
