Anyone else had to leave the page open for an hour or so before the pages finally loaded? Thought slow image loading was already fixed but I guess not.
The status page still lists the issue as being identified and not solved so it looks like we're in the long run here.

Here's the thing: he did try to open up a dialog when he felt like things were off, but he only tried. When Kaede brushed him off, he just kinda gave up, or pushed it off, or whatever you want to call it. And while that's mostly Kaede's fault, trying to assign blame first, right now, doesn't solve the problem. Solve problem first, assign blame later, and ONLY as a means to better identify and avoid the problem ahead of time in the future.

And yeah, even though it's Kaede's fault and stems from her own personal flaws, Yuya still has to invest his own emotional energy into not only solving this now, but prevent those flaws from being a problem in the future. And yeah, that's not really fair. But that's part of the compromise, when people say that marriage (or romantic relationships, to speak more generally) are about compromise. It's not just the compromise between the two people (or more, if you're a harem protag), it's each partner's internal compromise between wanting to be with their partner and being willing to put up with their flaws. Because you will never find another human being with no flaws. You just have to find one with whom you can accept both the personal and the interpersonal compromises with, or you accept the compromise with yourself that is being alone.
You mean like how he was trying to do when he initially called her at the start of the chapter? When he got that odd message about her leaving him, and he decides to push her personal boundaries to demand an answer on what is wrong and why, and figure out a resolution? And push even further when he notice she is avoiding him and not answering, by instead calling her friend to get into contact that way instead?

I am not talking about the plot rn. But monthly relase with the story pacing like this isn't a good idea I think. Maybe I should start to get to the novel.

Let's hope this will be solved in the next chapter, and then we won't have these stupid misunderstandings ever again.

Yes, he's doing something now, but he's been generally aware of the fact that something off with Kaede for a while. (Hard to say exactly how long; we go from the weekend home study session with friends, to Nikaido coming to school in a cast on Monday and Yuya starting to help her out, to some number of days of normal classes, then some other number of exam days, to having just finished up exams earlier in this day.) If he had tried to follow through more on day one when he first noticed Kaede acting jealous, or brought up up again at any point since instead of, in his own words, "telling himself Kaede would understand without words," it wouldn't have gotten to this point. His inner monologue in chapter 31 (again, earlier in the same day) admits he's noticed that she's gotten worse, and he tells himself he needs to talk to her about it, but then he immediately puts it off again to hang out with his yakuza aniki and his family.

And yes, Kaede is being a bit dramatic with jumping to the worst possible conclusions, but I want to point out that Yuya going to buy her a gift to cheer her up with before ACTUALLY finding out what the problem is and addressing it is also pretty dramatic.

What was up with this chapter?

"she gave me a weird message, I better communicate with her... oh I can't reach her so I will try calling her friend to get into contact"
"tsk tsk tsk, you need to communicate with her." "oh, I see, I never thought of that! thanks!"
"ok, I need to communicate with her, but I can't reach her. How should I get in touch..? Oh, her family is calling me"

"tsk tsk tsk, you need to communicate with her." "oh, I see, I never thought of that! thanks!" "she is at home"
goes home
It's almost as if communicating properly with each other can prevent or solve many problems

So, after actively ignoring her acting off for weeks, spending barely any/pretty much zero time with her even tho they live together, fully neglecting his perfect private savior wife for stupid reasons

and this is how it is solved? Mommy needs to calm both of them down and conveniently fix everything because he STILL can't make a move and refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing until the very final moment? Lame as fuck.

Author went for ooc asspull forced overexaggerated drama and then for the most tame loser absolute zero growth development possible. Weak cop-out. Hope there is some fighting back from her side at the very least..

Yeah! So what if he completely neglected her for weeks even tho he knew that she was in a bad state in was only getting worse (his own words)! He made no effort across multiple weeks apart from a fleeting question and being brushed off once. Thank god we had 20 more panels of his chivalric duties tho (which were not totally unecessary!).
The chapter literally starts with him again deluding himself to the point where he still has no idea what he did wrong. Good look!

I legit don't get what the author went for here, my bad, I guess?

The conclusion of this lame ahh drama is gonna be soooo underwhelming... HELL NAHHHH 😭

The author is too lazy to make a little more effort to put into this drama

Yes he should have communicated more earlier (though she holds more blame there still), but the comment you replied to was about how silly this chapter were, with how his attempts to finally do so only resulting in ppl telling him "don't talk to me, go talk to her instead", when that is exactly what he was trying to do.

I hope part of their conversation includes how picking up and leaving without explaining why is a really shitty thing to do, especially when your significant other has serious trauma after being suddenly abandoned by his family.

The real development arc should be about not yelling and panicking like he's being shot whenever she gets near him

this chapter triggered me. Hate when people are mad at you cause they want you to do the thing you are already trying to do.

So, your trying to tell me that fmc's friend understood the situation instantly, but FMC didn't, even tho it was so obvious?
And even tho she understood what was happening, instead of reassuring her friend when she was CLEARLY losing it in her delusions, she just let her escalate matters even more?
That . . . Doesn't seem like a very good friend to me.

Nikaido: You gotta communicate.
MC: Yeah, gotta talk to Kaede-san.
Otsuki: Explain everything to her.
MC: Okay!
Kaede's mom: Communicate your true feelings!
MC: :wtf:

I'm surprised it took only three people to convince him to talk to Kaede.
