I knew the Jade Bi itself wouldn't be that useful for nukes. Still, I doubt the ore deposits have huge amounts of uranium-235 as that would be absurd, meteors or not.
Reading up on the Manhattan project, the timeline is correct since in 1939 the Brits made a breakthrough in nuclear fission and started scrambling to find the uranium needed for a bomb. There were 4 ore locations known in the world back then, in Canada, Colorado, Congo, and Czecoslovakia. What Fenghua is proposing would be a massive boon for the Allies with real strategic value. In real life they shipped the uranium ore for the manhattan project from Congo, but it's cool to think if that could have been China.
