Why not just call them dragons and longs?
So far, the furigana available has been a bit inconsistent. For the title/cover pages, the manga uses the same りゅう (ryuu) reading for both kanji. Whenever ドラゴン (dragon) is used, it's not as furigana (EDIT: except once if I'm counting right). Not sure why the author didn't assign only ドラゴン as the reading of 竜 and consistently called her that as it would have made this simpler but for now, the distinction in the original itself is visual so I guess I wanted that to reflect in the English reading experience. I also didn't want to unofficially assign names for all sorts of reasons.

Yay I'm so glad someone picked this up!!! the world needs more fantasy yuri 😊

i don't exactly have much experience with manga but if you'd be interested I'd love to help out with cleaning/typesetting/redrawing... I have a lot of other typesetting experience that I figure I should really put to yuriful uses :) if so my discord username is the same as it is here (@elsaheart)

edelweiss sounds so pretty and noble in theory when it actually looks like some kind of ungainly sheep/star hybrid

About imperial princess vs princess, I take that you've known of the Chinese title Huangdi which is translated as "emperor" in English. "Imperial princess" (皇女), literally, means an emperor's daughter. Likewise, the word "princess" (王女) here means a king's daughter. They by themselves aren't titles and just words to call. The title of princess, on the other hand, is generally referred to as 公主 (gongzhu). It is a title, like dukes, counts, etc. and must be granted by the monarch, not something you're naturally born with. To avoid calling their real names, unlike in the West, princesses would be called by name of their fiefdom or a fancy word + the word 公主.

just wanna say that for when the flower crown that was made, they were at least 1600 meters of altitude cause that's where they usually grow, unless it's a himalaya variant which is a domestic kind and can grow at low altitudes
