It’s rare to come across fantasy stories that are good. W author for the Master and Disciple story being 10/10

Butterfly is Shino's soul. Butterfly death/rebirth symbology is pretty common in Japan. The torn wing represents her wounded pysche.

The point here is that she is so much like Shino. She never healed herself from the way she was betrayed, and her goal here was to make sure that he did not go down the same path she did.
