Well...that's one way to force it.
I do like the idea of trying to help her overcome the problems in her mental state via a different genre. And I like that she has good reasoning for being untrustful of others.
But, I will agree that the system either needs someone behind it, to justify its weird actions, or needs better writing. It's really pushing things along without handling previous incidents.
However- FL isn't just changing entirely with each new quest. Getting favorability isn't helping her adapt. She still relies on her old methods for things. I think it'd be pretty interesting if she lost her Constellations in the next few chapters and had to rely on herself- no status windows, no extra voices to guide her. Just "what does she want now? can she navigate the normal?" Because right now, she absolutely can't just go be an office worker. She'd be so messed up in the head.
So I'm willing to see what we're in for.

That's the first "I want to go back to be an office worker, maybe" mantra even entertained for this genre I've seen. And now I've got a mental image of her owning her work station with soul-pulverizing domination and violence while balancing on top of a computer chair with a wind drifting her hair out behind her and a razor (pun intended) mouse in hand. Good stuff. I can see why the system thinks she should go home.

idk if Renee has had the pleasure of seeing Yiyoung's adventures like we have but I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to see the person in your body go from "I believe you and will fight to make your life better" to "yeah I think I might give up on all this, actually" lol

So the system is the problem right? If she stops complying it will probably strip her off her powers. I was gonna say "why dont she just test out if the penalty is real by not complying?" But the penalty is WAAAAY too harsh to jusy be waived away.

I really hate this system, so I hope this series ends in 1 season and that there isn't a second one. I'm not staying motivated enough for a second one, might call it quits if something else dumb like what the system just did happens.

I've started wondering if the reason that she got dumped into this romance novel scenario in the first place is because the System realized how much they'd fucked her up psychologically in the Hunter world, and so she was dumped into the Romance world to try and balance out her mental state before sending her home.

Yeah I was wondering about that as well, unfortunately the system doesn’t seem To get that forcing her to do these scenarios is probably doing more harm than good

Clearly she can threaten the system by saying she will simply start throwing down hard if it continues the restrictive practices. And even if it were to, say, take away her abilities, she could murder the crown prince by faking being nice, and then cutting his throat, followed by killing herself. That should mess things up for the system.
Since the system threw her into this story, instead of letting her go home, it should let her have a decent go at this life, not torture her.
And if all it's interested in, is "exciting things happening", it should be fine with a bit of mayhem, i.e. her killing the father, the emperor, and the two heirs - to start with. If it doesn't like that sort of development, it should stop treating her badly.
Basically, she's not without recourse when it comes to the system. I'm guessing this is like all those other manhwa with "constellations". It's all entertainment made by powerful beings, for at least equally powerful beings. And if you show them there are limits to what you accept, and that you actually can mess things up royally for them if you aren't treated with respect, then they should shape up. Otherwise their expensive investment into entertainment will be lost.

Nah. I think the system is the way to manage an entertainment for ... "constellations". Behind the system you'll find the "producers" and "directors", who may be constellations themselves, or some lower beings making their living creating entertainment. So Renée is basically an unpaid actor who was promised to be sent home after fulfilling a job, and apparently was so "interesting" for the "viewers" that the beings behind the system decided to keep her on, and inject her into the "romance" we are reading, to spice it up, increase the viewer base by a decent percentage of the action viewers, and maybe some other synergies. I'm sure quite a portion of those ultra-powerful beings would enjoy watching someone be tormented ...
