Let Hyce keep up the loner+elf shit for awhile longer. Everyone can be mad at him or whatever, but the manga adaptation should absolutely play up his "I really want nothing to do with you anymore" angle for Hyce.

Isnt there also a light novel, or is this a series that went straight to manga? Cuz AFIK its usually WN -> LN -> Manga. With the WN acting more as a rought draft and the LN being the core cannon. If there is a LN i would consult that over the WN.

The WN->LN->Manga route is not really a rock solid standard. Sometimes mangaka looks for a storyline and picks up a WN since pretty often, someone who can draw can not neccesaryly write a good story as well so i actually prefer when the artist and the writer are different people. On topic, i don't remember this having an LN. WN continues to get updated on schedule.

She needs actual consequences for what she did to Hyce.

And I don't mean like what's going on with Miyuki for what she did to Eiji over on that Bullying Revenge Fantasy title; Sasha doesn't need to enter eternal damnation with no reprieve.

But she and the other members of Sacred (sans the one chick who didn't vote to expel Hyce) need to eat considerable crow for me to feel satisfied with this adaptation.

Though I do want the one dude who tried to show off to Hyce in the bookstore a couple chapters ago to lose a limb or two and be unable to continue adventuring or something.
Yeah, it makes me petty, but this is a deadly world. Let the smug shitheel swallow a few dozen of his teeth and face an early forced retirement.

Your right. For the last hour or so i've been reading a bit of the WN, the core points are the same but the details are very different. Like this stampede, the devil was killed before that, on the first encounter with Sasha, and there was no giant turtle, just thousands of regular trash mobs.
Also Hyce feels like a different character compared to the manga. He is always nice and polite to Sasha and her team, like the betrayal doesn't even mater. His manga personality actually fits way more in the story imo, so thumbs up for that change

Agree, she don't need that kind of treatment, but I would like to see her realized her wrong and properly mend her relationship with MC. Reynold no the other hand, lose a hand or something is too little as a payback, dude need a snip snip below the belt, and the les nun, send her to a goblin cave

I expanded on my thoughts further alone in the post thread, so I'll just quote it here directly as a response.

I honestly would be fine if he wasn't focused on "revenge" toward her in that way. Just outright ignoring her and his former party members and doing his own thing would be kinda ideal - then, if any of them give him flak for it, he can just say "you considered me weak and kicked me out. Why are you mad that I'm not helping you now?"

That forces them into the position of either having to solve the problem themselves since "they're so strong and high-rank and he's just the weakling they kicked out", or - and this is the operative bit - they have to swallow their pride and ask him for help.

It's one thing to swoop in and actively save the day to show up his former party members/childhood friend, but making them come to him for help themselves has that extra layer of shame.
