Well, it's PART of something I've wanted for a long time. I'd been thinking it'd be nice to see some expulsion stories where the party expels the character either because he legitimately can't keep up, because they fear for his life, or because they have a serious goal, much more serious than fame, power and money, and they're desperate for it. That said, I'm not really a big fan of bitter edgelord stories. That said, the one other thing I always desire is reconciliation, so there's a question for those that've read the novels: does he eventually understand and believe that she'd not known about the dragon, and really did all of this out of desperation to keep him alive? And if he does, do they manage to become some level of friends again (even if he doesn't rejoin the party)?

I'm reading this in between other series so the context of the story is not too deep yet

Overall, it is not about a revenge story but more of a broken trust and shattered relationship between Sasha and Haise/Hyce. The story progression so far is SOOOOOOOOO much better than This in every way.

As mentioned, the story focus more on relationship and broken trust. Hyce was almost killed before he awakened his power, he assumes that Sasha and Co wanted to get rid of him by sending him into the fields to gather herbs with a black dragon near it. After that event, Hyce become a total anti social person who refuse to interact more than necessary. His skills allows him to summon various modern firearms that only he can use.

Now what this series done right is that after the broken relationship with Hyce and Sasha. Her party (Sacred) didn't immediately go into chaos because you know "A CORE MEMBERS IS NO LONGER THERE" trope. Instead, each of the member now required to master the role that Hyce use to fulfill and they managed to do so.

Sasha and Hyce relationship after the incident was very tense. Sasha really wanted to apologize to Hyce and wishes to reconcile so they can continue their dream of becoming great adventures. But Hyce on the other hand, retorts Sasha's by saying that she is just saying that so she can achieve her personal goal, and for Hyce that goal is no longer his goal and he doesn't give a single shit about it anymore. Despite all this, both Sasha and her Clan and Hyce still managed to reach the highest rank attainable, the only difference is their personal goal/

Sasha want's to create the strongest Clan to conquer the forbidden labyrinth while Hyce wishes to conquer it Solo but could not care less about glory and fame.

So is the only spot that we can read the novel version is that "syosetu" website? I don't understand half a word of Japanese so....

I don't wanna say stuff too soon but the setting is very similar to Tsuihou Suru Gawa no Monogatari

Don't know why there always has to be a lesbian party member wishing for MCs expulsion for selfish reasons. Fortunately, you have party members like tycoon and robin who make the party a lot more likable. Also (at least in the WN) the characters have a lot more depth. The author did many things right that the other author did wrong.

Thank God he isn't the MC in this manga but it will be Hyce and Sasha. But even though at times he tries to claim Sasha for himself (thus acting stupid and despicable from time to time) he at least stay true to his character.

Also read and commented on that trainwreck of a story but, in my opinion, this story is a lot better (hope the manga will be the same).
Daru would definitely be Reynold in this story. Robin stayed true to her feelings and opposed Sasha's decision openly to the end.

She even wanted to leave the team and form a new team for Hyce, but in the end decided to stay in the team to convince the others to get Hyce back. She wishes for a party where everyone is happy again.

Fortunately, he won't become the MC. But he will become the vice-leader of Sasha's clan and her main supporting figure. Due to his feelings for her he sometime intentionally acts like an ass in front of Hyce (at least he does it intentional). He has also mixed feelings towards Hyce. On the one side, he was a true friend to Hyce, just acting like an ass in the banishing scene (he doesn't promote Hyce's banishment but just accepts Sasha's decision) to direct Hyce's anger from Sasha to himself. On the other side, he is also happy because it's his chance to get closer to Sasha (though Hyce doesn't have any romantic feelings for Sasha at this point of the story).
In contrast to the other story, he actively tries to create misunderstandings in front of Hyce which are immediately blocked by Sasha most of the time. Luckily, the characters (and the author) know the implications of their actions.
Thus, the NTR vibes are pretty low in this story because (1) Hyce doesn't have romantic feelings for Sasha in the beginning and (2) misunderstandings, created by other characters, are immediately cleared up by the Hyce and Sasha because they are not stupid (like Daru and Athena).

After both Hyce and Sasha become s-class (probably in the next few chapters) Sasha finally manages to apologize (excerpt from the WN):

Was it because I was unconscious?! Did you apologize to me in tears at my bedside?! You didn’t, did you? Geist-san said that the day after I was attacked and unconscious, you were traveling to the eastern country on a mission! You never had any intention of apologizing from the start!”

Haise tried to pass by Sasha, but...Sasha grabbed his sleeve.

The story doesn't end with: you treated me like shit but everything is fine now. Hyce points out the hypocrisy in her decision to banish him. We have no Daru who for unknown reasons doesn't clear up misunderstanding and goes like "she did it for your sake, so be happy and shut up"
