Well, it's PART of something I've wanted for a long time. I'd been thinking it'd be nice to see some expulsion stories where the party expels the character either because he legitimately can't keep up, because they fear for his life, or because they have a serious goal, much more serious than fame, power and money, and they're desperate for it. That said, I'm not really a big fan of bitter edgelord stories. That said, the one other thing I always desire is reconciliation, so there's a question for those that've read the novels: does he eventually understand and believe that she'd not known about the dragon, and really did all of this out of desperation to keep him alive? And if he does, do they manage to become some level of friends again (even if he doesn't rejoin the party)?

Spoiler: development of relationship

The question is a bit tricky to answer. The guild master (their former teacher) tells him that the party didn't know but because of the circumstances but he doubts the story (the rumors before he got attacked and they left the capital the very next day without waiting for him to wake up and apologizing. At this point I would recommend that you have a look at the spoiler "Hyce's grudge". There's an excerpt where Sasha finally apologizes to Hyce (after their s-rank promotion 2 years later) but gets refused. You also get the reason why the misunderstanding isn't the whole reason for his grudge.
Over the the time they develop a new relationship but at the same time don't forget about the past. They cooperate occasionally (because they have the same goal) but he doesn't rejoin the party. He prefers to work solo but often (involuntarily) teams up with other people. He becomes more sociable again and even interacts with his former party members in his free time (like drinking with Reynolds, talking about books with Tycoon). Even if he doesn't admit it, Hyce and Sasha often behave like friends again and even develop romantic feelings.

This story is making out the MC to have narcissistic personality disorder.

Honestly the plots are foolish in general. They often rely on the party expelling the mc to be utterly inhuman in arrogance of stupidity.

But Hyce is such a baka. After two years of getting carried and almost dying while being a porter, he gets fired with severance pay and he wants to get angry? Who the hell does he think he is?!

And his path to power is lame. After two years he randomly finds a magic book related to his random tale ability and he can't even figure it out. No he has to almost die and bleed on it to get some thing. And that thing is summoning guns. Lame.

If Baby girl hadn't accidentally sent him to die he might never figure it out.


So she's done literally nothing wrong while Hyce is slandering her with unreliable power she fought for.


I mean if that book taught him how to make guns or lead him to the ruins of a lost civ and he Jedi style put scrap back together and reinvent stuff wed have a plot.

There's not much difference in the early plot structure of two stories except this one is less about the banisher side and is a bit of both but mostly the kicked member. Which is what people didn't like about the other one. If to was about Est guarantee you it would be another 6-7 rated kicked from party slop. And no one would remember it and end just as quick. Read a bit on and imo this is actually worse because SPOILER HERE

Don't know where I insulted you (opposite to you) to make it hard for you to come to these comment sections. It's another thing if you have a problem with differing opinions. Then I would recommend to stay away. Otherwise, your welcomed to stay and enrich the community with your opinion.
I also never had a problem with the banisher side but always criticized how it was implemented on the other manga.
Nobody except Sasha and Piazzolla wanted to actually banish Hyce. They (Reynold and Tycoon) just go with Sasha's decision and put up a font in front of Hyce (like Daru did). Robin openly criticizes Sasha's decision in front of Hyce (something that Daru never did because he was always occupied praising Athena).

Robin just stayed in the team to convince the others to reintegrate Hyce into the party. She originally wanted to leave the party and go with Hyce. How could you compare her to Daru, who did nothing to reintegrate Est?

Even if it's not mentioned because we have a great time leap the misunderstanding is cleared up immediately (guild master). Hyce's problem is that they abandoned him: (1) banishment (2) leaving the capital without a word of apology (the excerpt was even in my last comment). He actually knows that they didn't want to set him up but he needs his hatred to get stronger. Also it doesn't change the fact that he lost an eye and nearly died (resulting in a trauma). Later on he even states himself that he lost an eye because of their mistake (so he knows that it was a mistake). The real reason for his grudge is that they abandoned him. His motto will become "Don't abandon the weak". That's why he goes solo and hesitates to work with other people because once you decide to do so you have to go to the end (in his opinion). It was literally in the excerpt I posted the last time.
Also he doesn't become edgy. He actually lives a calm life without always trying to standout (even prioritizing other well being over his fame. Except for his outbourst right after a near death situation he doesn't even speak bad about his former team mates in public.

I love galaxy Dugen, but when I see them now I automatically assume there going to drop this pretty soon or update it like every year. They do great scans put I couldn't tell you how many manga I'm waiting for them to update. They take on way more then they can handle.

Well, the title was banisher party, so I guessed it would be about the party with the main focus more on the actual party leader, Athena, and not Daru, the smurfing party member.
But I'm interested how many times you will continue to claim that I thought that the banished person would be the MC.

I saw your reply and read it. I finnished it for like a 3 hour, the first chapter is oddly similar. As the story goes by, yeah I think it will be similar to this confusing manga.
