"worst time line" feels like an understatement. It doesn't even feel real, the hole we keep digging for ourselves. I'd love to live in that world where everyone can do what they love and share it with others and we all grow and learn from each other and that's just enough. Not this hellscape. I mean it's not really Soseki scans shutting down (as long as they're doing it on their terms and doing well), but all the s*it happening around it. In a better world can communities working to bring art to more regions through their own hard work would be celebrated like heroes. Instead all of this is happening. And it's so awful because we know that the "legal" options aren't even better. They're exploitative of consumers, sometimes lower quality, and don't even benefit the original artists who are being treated like crap in this industries. It's crap all the way down.
