It's his brother's kid....
Eh, sorry, not convinced here. Do you, by chance, know a chapter where it was spelled out?

So we went from fantasy pet raising and being a pet to being the new hero's party and saving the world from the demons and demon lord to dinosaurs in pokeballs™ from an alternate reality and a time travelling loli and various other characters clearly from a different story.
Wrong. It's time traveling oppai loli.

Current story is 50% an ad for his other work and 50% simping for a v-tuber. This chapter made me drop the wn. (WN Chapter 119)
I didn't realize there was that much left before the WN goes on hiatus. Guess we have a few more years of chapters before they run out of source material :haa:

Ch 61. His little brother's kid....
Ah, thanks for the pointer, but you aren't fully correct either.
Chapter 61 says Cedric is Mayia's brother-in-law, not brother (and he couldn't be, as Cedric is "eldest son of Marquis, the [Labyrinth] city's ruling family" (see chapter 10), and Mayia is obviously an isekai'd Japanese person). That means that Cedric's sister, is most likely Maiya's third wife (not in order, but besides Alisha and Beelzebub), as one would expect her to be human like her brother. Technically Cedric's sister and "Rin" (still haven't seen any confirmation or rebuttal that "Rin == Beezebub") could be two different Maiya's waifus.

I think there is some translation error... might be sister-in-law...

Or yes, it's his sister... one or the other... (uses "brother-in-law" AND "brother" so it's kinda confusing)

But it's still his niece....

Ah, while it's true that author dropped the WN, it doesn't mean he dropped the story.

It's not unusual for authors to stop doing the WN and continue the story only in the LN version.... cause they want the money...

Unfortunately, I believe the LN was cancelled due to the author being a bit of an ass on Twitter or something similar and Japan being obsessed with public perception.

Sorry I looked up more information since it's been quite a while since I saw this.

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/in...hor-heated-tweets-against-illustrator/.143852

The author insulted his illustrator on another novel on Twitter. That novel was announced as canceled, and I believe the only new work he has released since the controversy was this manga continuing. (The LN is still technically on hiatus like the WN.)

This isn't even a case of "western cancel culture"--it's Japanese companies being super strict with their authors (which has been an issue for decades).

Yah, this seems way overboard.

And apparently, it was because he thought his story was being insulted first...

Even if there is some confusion due to translation, isekai'd Japanese person just can't be blood-related to the resident of this world, so there is zero possibility that Mayia and Cedric are brothers.

You are right about Mai being Cedric's niece, though, no objections there. And, unless "Rin" isn't Cedric's full sister (which, again, i don't recall ever confirmed or rebutted), Mai is most-likely related to him by blood.
Man... you sure like using ellipses...

I think it was a mistranslation of brother/sister... either in-law or not...

Both were put as males... and unless if they had a gay birth baby, then one of them was translated wrong... so it's either his sister-in-law with his brother or his brother-in-law with his sister... either or....

Hate being rude, but seriously, please learn how to use ellipsis properly (and sparingly), it's really hard to follow what you wrote.

I've no idea how you came upon the idea of "gay birth baby". Maiya is male, "Rin" is most certainly a female - no "gay birth" involved.

Also, i'm not sure who do you mean by each of your "his", but Maiya and Cedric CAN'T be brothers (again, one is isekai'd Japanese, another is resident of this world, no debate) so the conclusion is simple - Mayia is married to Cedric's sister, making them brothers-in-law, and Cedric - Mai's uncle.

Thanks for the clarification....

It's because the chapter I used as a reference showed both of them as "brother"

And it was harder to follow more cause I forgot to use quotes...

I doubt a few ellipsis would actually be what would confuse you... that's just my online writing character/persona...

And the "gay birth" was just a joke that I wrote because in the same chapter he stated "brother-in-law" and "brother" when one of the "brother" was obviously meant to be "sister"

Btw, what chapter does it clarify that the brother-in-law is male???

If you mean pages 5-6 in chapter 61, then i think there is no mistake. I mean, calling one's "brother-in-law" a "little brother" isn't technically incorrect (as long as "little" applies). Couldn't check the word used in raws, unfortunately.

At least in chapter 47 on page 12 Vulcan referred to Maiya (the Great Mage) as 男, which seems like a pretty good indicator for me.

So I suppose "let's keep going and see what happens"?
I am confused as f*k and have no idea what's happening anymore. I think I preferred it when it was just Aria and Tama, and some parts Stella going deep in the town labyrinth.

So does Aria ever bang Tama, her thirst and jealousy has been through the roof ever since she ran into the elemental cat from her childhood
