I've seen this kind of plot in 3 other fantasy stories like this, 2 of them iwth a healer MC that breaks the armor form of their old team boss that is a piece of shit, one got fully saved and recovered and then sent to jail, when I think the other died after a while for their life force being used to power iut up, but the MC refuses to kill them, no matter how many lives they took or damage was inflicted on poor people.
Seeing this MC personality it looks like he will use the just infodumped heal to revert the piece of shit to just before using the rune stone, and the guy will likely repent or get killed after being delivered to the kingdom guards.
