That was never possible with this author, if you've seen any of their work but ending short does still suck.

I don't think "pedophile" applies to high schoolers, especially 3rd years. But yeah, no-contact timeskips are a lazy ending tool. Doesn't have to be age gap stuff; A Lying Bride's Case for Same Sex Marriage had an 18 month no-contact timeskip which of course magically worked out, rather than one of the women having moved on with their life.

If you're gonna have a timeskip like that, at least indicate they were keeping in touch, so there was some rational reason for 'waiting'.
