Not sure about this translator, but I've seen at least one group make this kind of thing a running joke - pick a different currency to use in this kind of note for each series. I definitely recall Swedish Kroner, and I think another South American currency I can't recall the name of, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some others . . . Definitely more fun than assuming your readers are in the US (which I've seen way too often not to find it irritating).
