Not sure what schedule I'll be keeping with this one, if any, but I've already got a couple more chapters cleaned and ready to start. Having read through the raws I'd certainly like to keep going; if you've read any manga or seen a movie in a similar setting, or maybe played the Boku no Natsuyasumi/My Summer Vacation games, there won't be many surprises here. In the author's notes he even admits that while it is personal to him (it's based on where he grew up, apparently), he partly went for this idea so he could actually sell something, because his editors rejected everything else he pitched since his last series. But it does the tropes really well, IMO. Not gut-busting laughs, but it is funny, and very sweet without ever really being too saccharine.
