theres nothing inherently wrong with how their motivations r written, i think i could follow thru initially, but its kind of getting absurd in the story where its these two crazy randos pushing their immature agendas and “raising the stakes”? like if mc doesnt feel remorseful what then? youll blow up a building of innocents, ok what then? what exactly will develop in the story bc of this progression? it doesnt even feel like mc is connected to the story anymore with how the plot is just mc wants to save ppl -> insurmountable wall with no development on either sides perspectives

It feels like the author only introduced someone even crazier so they could feel justified giving Kaito a redemption arc eventually.

I would've much preferred Kaito remain the primary antagonist.
