Honestly, whenever outside forces mess with an author's work it really tends to bug me. While we might have interesting things result like the multiple villain changes in the Cell saga result, it usually just results in a worse work and with the author unhappy.

I thought MC would at least get that forcing your author into an ending that she's poured countless hours into just because of an anime adaptation is terrible. Can't wait for next few chapters D R A M A.

the author really hates Aki, 'cause his level of denseness and getting over the tope without noticing the important is really too high
also it doesn't work as a parody, specially in this version, 'cause the drama is shown as serious.

Now I have 100% FOR SURE that this spin off is the true Saekano history. The author wanted to make a Utaha route in the main series, with Utaha (AKA best girl) winning, however, due to the editor and publisher pression, he had to write a Megumi route as canon.

This chapter is a metaphor for what the author had through. Remember guys, Utaha's ending is the real one.
