@Eralita Depends. Age of consent is 16 in most of the world. Most highschoolers are 16.

@that's not right. On the federal level the Penal code hard limit is 13 but the Child Welfare act makes it illegal to have sex with anyone under 18 so the defacto age of consent nationwide is 18. Some places do have local laws which let you get around that 18 limit but those require parental approval or sometimes even approval from a family court to make sure it's a "healthy loving relationship". It's not really a common thing to happen outside of people who are betrothed or engaged already. Also she can get married at 16 which would get around it but again to get married at 16 she would need parental approval. So realistically until he gets her mom to sign off on the relationship it would be illegal. Well if he get's actually caught and someone reports him.
