Caste system is just a toxic environment created by author for mc to fight back against "injustice" and save damsels in distress.
At least this feeling of "injustice" isn't because of slavery or because mc's got the weakest crest for example, but it's still the same obvious and uncreative pattern of being looked down on because author decided it would be so. Writing truly worthy of praise
