Sadly... I once knew a couple who behaved like this, in my old town...
They used to adopt kittens when they were small and adorable, but once the cats reached a certain age, they would abandon them who knows where.

I saw them do this like 5 times...

I'm not really that big a fan of cats but I still think you'd be fully justified in killing them both.
