"Don't over rely on your ability to see in the dark"
What a weird thing to throw out like that, it's like saying don't over rely on your eyes working.
While true it is something that should come up during training, and not focused on only the darkness part.

Two heads on an ax isn't useful and only makes it heavy.
He is strength based, heavy is what he needs, and having 2 blades helps with the balance.
But it really is comicly oversized xD But that is fantasy battles for you, can't rely on our understanding on how you should shape weapons when you can fight flying dinos by chocking them.

That's... not true. It's like saying having a double-edged sword isn't useful. The techniques used are different and the weapon doesn't handle the same way but that doesn't make it automatically worse.

No, it's true. The second edge of a sword doesn't double the weight on the end of a weapon. An axe does not need the option, and if you're going to do that it should be something lighter like a spike. A false edge strike on a sword works because it's maneuverable enough. Not really the case for axes

I mean, considering we have significant historical evidence of double-headed axes being used for combat... I'd say the people actually staking their lives on those things probably knew what they were doing.
