Thanks for the chapter!
Well Velvet is a real piece of work. All arrogance, towering pride with no foundation, and borrowed power. In any case, looks like Lim has realized Lux has similar feelings of being royalty and truly understands how she feels. Although really needs to stop trying to upgrade his wyvern as being a dragride engineer should understand that it's been modeled after Bahamut so there won't be any hesitation or unfamiliarity when switching between the two. After all, he can't train in Bahamut so increasing the wyvern's defenses in way so has the same response and feel as Bahamut whether it's weapon usage, handling and response is the only viable option. Although this means she's definitely not letting him get away and will be more determined to glue him to her side than before.
Seems a little confusing but "Reload and Fire" is Bahamut's special ability as a divine dragride while "Quickshot" is an inferior version that can be learned and used in any dragride. Both basically do same thing of siphoning off half of the energy from the dragride for 5 secs making it slower and weaker and then the following 5 secs adds that stored energy making it faster and stronger. So if normal operation is at energy 20 (just picking random numbers for example,) then for 5 secs the dragride will operate at 10 energy before rising up to 30 for 5 secs. Learning "Quickshot" isn't easy and essentially requires the skill level of an elite to learn hence why Velvet needed 5 years to get it down. Also, timing is extremely important as the dragride is more vulnerable and slower during first 5 secs, boosted 5 secs follows immediately after with no way to delay activation, and has to be 5 secs for both so can't do 3 or 10 or any other increments. Despite being same effect Lux was able to use both was because "Reload and Fire" was Bahamut using it's special ability while Lux himself did "Quickshot" which allowed him to do the same effect twice.
