I know a lot of people are annoyed at the pacing, but I'm pretty sure author really wants to drive it in that the readers know Ivy is sincerely loved and cared for and this world isn't full of aholes like the people back in her village and the human trafficking oneesan. The entire premise of the WN is about Ivy meeting and befriending unique beasts and good-hearted people as she travels. It's more full of cuddles than conflict. (Although I fully admit some of the best parts of the novel is reading about the bad people getting their comeuppance lol)

I look forward to seeing the comeuppance so much tbh lmao.

Tbh i think the slower pacing rn is caused by having to communicate a lot of info via the manga? It was slowish in the wn too but i remember these scenes didn't linger so much in comparison to your reading pace.

Problem for a manga is they cant just like throw all this info in one go at the reader bc otherwise you get info & visual info overload so i get it going at a more leisurely pace as well as it being thematically appropriate.

I'm just so glad ivy keeps meeting good people, want the poor baby to live her best life.

Wait, when and how did Ratlua realize Ivy is a girl? He's sharper than I thought. The two older guys probably figured it out because they're sharp and highly experienced party leaders, but I didn't think Ratlua could figure out her secret on his own. Anyway, he seems tactful about it and doesn't seem like he's gonna carelessly let others know.

Ivy is 9 but she looks like a 7-year old boy because of how her difficult life as a forest dweller (since she was 5) has stunted her growth. That is sad. But with all her talk of clothes getting tighter recently it seems she's getting better nutrition now and her growth is starting to pick up a little. That's good.

Looking 7 to some people when you’re 9 doesn’t mean your growth was stunted. Kids grow at different rates….also not sure why she’d not be able to pass for a boy soon.
