Its unfortunate that girls are going to have their hearts broken because obviously the MC will end up with the FL. I wish he could have a harem, but obviously that can't happen in modern Japanese society. Does anyone have any recommendations for romance manga with harem endings that aren't fantasy? I mean like the MC actually ends up with multiple girls, not where many girls fight over him but he only ends up with one or none. I feel like the harem tag is used too lightly on this website, but thanks in advance if anyone does have any recommendations
The harem tag is ok as its, and you normally only see polygamy in fantasy cause its really fantasy.

And about your complaint, a harem isnt a magical fix-up either.

If you like modern polygamy try Hare-Kon textbook example of why polygamy isnt a thing.

Anyone else feel a little lost this chapter?
Not really. The maid said he should make a deal with her and legitimize his cover story.

Plus there's the ultimate drama moment.

"Maybe..."

"MAYBE?!?!?!!?!" DUN DUN DUN

I didn't get if she actually believed the cover story (adoption + apprenticeship), or if she realized it was a lie but decided to play along, WDYT?

That's what you wrong, it can be harem ending even tho the setting is the modern Japanese, did you forget how rich the heroine in this series with 2 heroine basically the richest in japan, a mere modern setting can't stop you if you're Soo rich.

Bruh they're distant relatives
Mc's grandparents were part of the family but it's not even confirmed or very softly implied that one of narika's grandparents and one of mc's grandparents were siblings
Narika and Mc are not first cousins since their parents are not siblings
Marrying with cousin is seen with bad light because genetically speaking they're practically same as siblings but when you're that far away, you're practically strangers
