what a great dad, really amazing. Baffling that he was willing to sacrifice his daughter's ego and make her a puppet for the sake of his business and it took Shizune pulling strings to show him the FINANCIAL BENEFITS ITSUKI COULD PROVIDE HIS CONGLOMERATE to make him revert his decision. Not his daughter's well-being, not how much Itsuki has helped Hinako (even if we don't include the kidnapping incident) but in the end it all comes down to MONEY. GOD I fucking hope the author makes this come around to bite him in the ass, SOMETHING, ANYTHING, that fucks him up bc of this. Also, poor Hinako, look at how willing she was to sacrifice her entire sense of 'self' for Itsuki... Fuck the dad, honestly
kidnap incident ? he just picked the card by luck, he got the job and paid that's enough, about other things how would he know about them ? the maid just showed him, if you are talking about other things there is no thing that benefit the father or his company,

lmao this happened exactly as i said it would a few chapters ago except for the pointless home invasion part and the fact that shizune did everything without the mc's input. it would have been so much more satisfying if it were the mc gathering the study group to help hinako out, and then shizune conveying that to the dad who would understand the value of those connections and the fact that the person who spurred them on was the mc. here the main characters may as well have no agency, and the study group's contribution is solely their last names rather than something they actually did assist to further their relationship as friends. not only this, but the effect the mc had on the situation is ambigious enough that to assign all the merit to him seems like a stretch. he extended an invitation to a tea party and explained what a study group was, and that's about it from the perspective of others. while we the readers are aware hinako was only there because of mc's presence (plus stirring jealousy), the dad doesn't know about it and idk if shizune does either. this arc was disappointing

It would be really Catathic to the company to the collapse, and only then let Itsuki and Hanako together at the end.

He spent all his time on the company and virtually none on his family. What did that earn him? A floundering business and a daughter that has to pretend to be "normal" in public. He spent all his time and effort on nothing. He doesn't even have the social skills to form his own connections and needs his daughter and her friends to do it for him? He's not even good at his own job it seems.

Shizune OP but gave everyone a heart attack. Could have told him tho.
What if he really went away, but then she'd say she just misjudged him then.

Sorry, but i think this is less a "trying to accumulate power only for power's sake is foolish"-type story and more of a "look, the guy you thought was weak and useless was actually useful all along. Yay power!"-type story.
