TBH, I don't know why everyone hate Giselle so much, she is a nice girl and her situation make her love toward MC understandable.

They grew up together, MC and Giselle are the closest to one another and even the clan's custom support her love. From her's POV she and MC getting married to each other is set in stone, just like two kids who liked each other and they were promised by their family that they will get married in the future when they grow up.

Suddenly, one of the two just ditch and run away would leave the one who was left behind broken is relatable.

I would blame the clan's custom but they were there from the start so I won't blame it. There are no correct choice here, Abel ditched his sister and run away seem right from our POV which incest is bad but from the clan's POV it is not, and from Giselle's POV it is really tragic.

Imagine someone you know and love all your life who was promised to marry you suddenly ditch you and run away and said some rubbish nonsense like " I can't married my childhood friend, because, well, it's weird and disgusting " ( to Giselle what Abel said probably sound the same ).

I know it is not right from our POV but I would rather like Abel to marry his sister, if there is no correct choice here then fuxk correct, I don't think letting his sister become heartbreak like that and run away is a good choice.

If the author made up such a custom then he should just stick with it until the end not chicken out like that.
