@criver

Just think of it like food. Compare a Michelin starred restaurant to fast food. One will probably be the best food you've eaten, like a original masterpiece manga. A delicious and amazing experience, but requires a ton of effort and dedication to create.
The other is McDonald's, or burger king, or Wendy's or something. Your standard generic popular manga. Decent enough, easy to produce, big market, and makes money.

This manga would be so great if it weren't for the elves. It's like watching an adult talk to children...

So mc usually steal (or at least used to) others quests huh. No wonder ppl dislike him and there was one guy who accused him of pulling all quests off the board at times, if his reputation rightfully is that poor.

@feha He doesn't so much steal, he just burns through quests, even at S rank when needed. As a result, he tends to get more of those jobs recommended to him. Probably doesn't help that he does pretty nutty things like killing monsters with just sticks for fun and still wins.

Wait, has it been confirmed the Hero and the Elf girl are from 2 different Isekai world? Or did the Hero just got teleported to other part of the same world?

@Garnt69 MC isn't really an isekai'd person. More like while taking a nap, he went to a whole to a new world, saw elf girl, then brought her with him to his world. So technically it's the elf girl who was isekaid.

@Merilirem Well, your explanation is really long, but that long is very descriptive since you point all important points for what you need to know.

To sum it up, what you want to said is the original is neither good or simple as what people think in general since almost every manga or novel what we read everyday is not 100% original because most of time they are using someone's reference to start it.

@silvernius that was what he told others in a prior chapter, but as this chapter told us, he has received a reputation from always stealing quests and targets from people when he doesn't have harem members tagging along.

I think the actual issue is not him stealing, but him just being too efficient and clearing too many quests. The last 2 chapters outright state this. Since he clears them all regardless of difficulty, and with such speed, he gets personal requests; as well as traffic transfering from other guild branches/locations.

Success rate doesn't mean stealing.

Exhausted in body and mind, but still running their mouths? Time for a stomping from a S-rank monster.

@Merilirem There's an order of magnitude of difference between the originality in GoT and LoTR, compared to typical isekai manga. I agree that not all people can produce something outstanding, but in this case it seems like they are going out of their way to specifically copy the "cooking recipe" 1:1.

However, I disagree that isekai has "better base stats". I do believe the genre is plagued by mediocre writing (that is not to say that exceptions do not exists - but they are unlike the manga here).

So its not like there is a problem with something being basically the same story.
I guess this is the main point where our opinions differ. I have a very hard time enjoying something that I have seen a thousand times, to the point where I drop it.

There are a number of other points that you made, that I agree with, and ones that I do not. I can see where you're coming from, and I suppose this does motivate the production of such manga.

@Gauvain My problem is more with the fact that they copy everything 1:1. It's like the creators are following a cooking recipe. I do not understand how doing that makes for an enjoyable read either, but that's obviously just my opinion.

@rycic I get what you mean, but I think that the analogy is not very good. After all what you are looking for in food and in plot is quite different. Junk food can be tasty, while I do not understand in what aspect formulaic works are "tasty".
