As expected. He allowed the Talker, master of Talk-no-Jutsu to talk mid combat. This guaranteed the Talker's victory.
And since Talking is a free action in combat, he's absolutely guaranteed to win, until he meets an opponent that will actually bypass the Talk-no-Jutsu with the unexpected Surprise-Attack-no-Jutsu, though it will need to be done in a place where Nakama-no-Jutsu cannot be enacted. And even then, the Suprise Attacker can still be susceptible to the Flashback-to-Combat-and-Traps-Preperation-no-Jutsu or the Surprise-Counter-Attack-no-Jutsu.
Of course Talker is the strongest.
