@perseus525 @Akabane compared to other human women in this manga, she definitely looks younger, and when I first see her last chapter, I think she surely between 13-15 year old.

@Akabane she seems to be quite short (since she uses some pretty big platform shoes)., o they probably assume her age based on height.
It's the only explanation I can think of, since nothing else seems to even suggest "child". Maybe her voice is soft or high pitched (like little girl's) but no way we could know that in a manga.

I'm still kinda confused why they kept thinking she was a child.

Sorry for necro-replying, but I'm leaving this here for future readers now that the anime is out too. "They" didn't call her a child, the only ones who did is the Elf Girl from Lightning Bite's Party and Logan--who appears to be a balding man--so it can be assumed to his mid-40s to early 50s looking self who is a Seeker Veteran, that she is a child because she just registered as a Seeker. The elf says on Page 4, "At what age is a human considered an adult again?" after Alma has already said her age to be 21. In other words, it's just a misunderstanding because the Elf Girl considers every human an underage child if she doesn't already know them.
