MC: "It is just girls..."

Slave trader: "Please understand. There aren't many that can apprehend a matured male divine demon We are a slave shop in a harem series. Of course we only have girls."

MC: "... I will buy them all."

The continuing issue I have with the series is that the girls are the ones providing the MC with a moral compass.

He's pragmatic to the level of indifference most of the time.

Most likely.

NGL, think you will find most isekai have slavery in one for or another. Even if the nation the protagonist lives in doesn't do slavery, almost assuredly a neighboring nation will.

I think that what I hate recently in this manga is that the MMC makes a decision/statement and one of the girls objects, and he changes his mind. He is no longer a leader but a follower of the girls. In fact, he is just a bodyguard at this point.

He is only a leader when he has interest in the situation. The majority of the time he simply does not care one way or the other therefore if one of the girls asks him to help he has no real reason not to do so. Look at him as a minor deity who answers his followers prayers because he has nothing better to do and was probably bored anyway.

Buy the slaves, get the collars removed, attack the slaver to get your money back.
win/win.
Reminded me STALKER 2. There is side quest to return church icon.
During mission one NPC asks you to sell this icon to him. You can sell it, kill him (he is kinda shady) and deliver icon to the owner to get reward - win-win.

He literally forget the Stampede arc when Seika fullfil his role as leader.

I don't find that to be an issue, frankly. It just reinforces why he was purged in his last life and why his plan for this life was never going to work out the way he wanted it to.
