Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki ~Geboku no Youkaidomo ni Kurabete Monster ga Yowai Sugirundaga~ - Vol. 7 Ch. 26

Only dude who I think is a decent demon with a fucked up mentality is red ogre dude who spares mother and children when possible, everyone else, ehhhh

i think the chick with the evil eye and the leader dude as well could be decent, although thats probably cause i havent seen them doing anything yet, and the evil eye just wants to sleep which i can get behind

although for some reason im now imagining it where the leader dude is the only "nice" one and has just been misunderstanding the actions of the others entirely seeing them as sympathetic and whatnot when in reality, well.....

tbf he did only just now tame that particular monster, so there wouldnt be as much attachment to it unlike other monsters which have been with him for a long time

Still a monster he tamed. He could have let it go. Or put him on standby somewhere. Instead he chose to feed it to another monster.

edit: as for the bit with the assassination mission, tbf this is the hero were talking about here, the defacto enemy of demons and especially the demon lord, and someone with the sort of growth rate that if she is just left alone shell be too big a problem to deal with when she does start killing demons, not that thaat makes it any better, but eh

I know. Still not much of a "pacifist" attitude. They present the whole team as having a sympathetic or relatable side to them, but they're still demons coming to assassinate the human hero before said hero proves hostile. Worse case, they themselves trigger the hostility and growth that they're trying to prevent.
Knowing what follows this part of the story in the anime, it gets even more nonsensical as it progresses. Way more. (Then again, maybe the anime took too many shortcuts to make sense. But it does progress exactly the same so far.)

You had issues remembering what you translated the name as? Consider the most high-tech solution to that known to man: writing the keywords down into a list

or simpler, look at past chapters

[Shinigamisama]

And we will all go home together. Famous last words.

[Wolvenworks]

or simpler, look at past chapters

You’d be amazed at how many groups think that’s not worth their time compared to just retranslating it, sometimes because they think they can (and sometimes do) come up with better keywords.

im not sure about what happens after this as i have not seen the anime, however, one thing i will note is everyone in the setting including the hero herself has treated the opposition between the hero and the demons as a forgone conclusion, i mean, she was pretty much born to fight demons from the looks of things, shes a hero, and thats just how heros are in alot of settings, i think i remember one setting where a hero tried not murdering demons and it just got them murdered by the humans, also this is ignoring how the hostility already exists from the demons trying to kill her probably even from the moment she was born, cause thats just how hero and demon lord stories are

Well, that's true, but that's also because of the culture. And we'll get back to this when we get to the problem I have later on.

A world that has been at war for as long as their history goes, with stories of heroes and demon lords feeding their childhood.
But she hasn't done anything except defend herself against a few demons at the school entrance ceremony. Which could justify her going after demons, I might note, but she hasn't done that yet. There is time to change her mind. If anything, the hero is not the most present danger to the demon as the demon leader at that time was killed by someone else. A certain reincarnated onmyouji. Although he didn't advertise his feat, everybody else could testify that miss Hero only killed the small-fry demons.

But there is no "programming" or "forced fate" that makes the hero kill demons and the demon lord kill humans... nor the hero and demon lord kill each other. It's all cultural. And these demons are attempting an assassination, which would definitely justify retaliation. And that's another point we'll get to soon enough.

i think i remember one setting where a hero tried not murdering demons and it just got them murdered by the humans

This would make more sense than what is coming. What you describe is basically the humans seeing the hero as a failure, or even a traitor, and retaliating in "justified" anger.
What's coming here is... so full of holes that I'm having a hard time not spoiling it in a frustrated rant.

For now, let's enjoy the next few chapters as this current section is actually pretty good.

[androgynous]

BS. He just fed a "loved and cared" tamed monster to another without batting an eye, just because he was told that it was too conspicuous. Like the two team members, a big demon and an equally big ogre, are not.

Edit: Not to mention that they are on an assassination mission to kill someone who hasn't done anything noteworthy yet.
I've watched the anime, so I've got some insight as to what happens next, and it's all plain stupid.
Still reading in case it makes more sense here, but I'm upset in anticipation as it seems to follow the same story flow so far.

A poor attempt at giving personalities to this group of assassins
One doesn't want to kill women and children because he has his own at home? So he looks away while the others do it in his place? He's such a gentle soul...
The tamer dude also loves his tamed beast a bunch? Hitler adored and was adored by his dogs! Another prove of gentle souls...

Yes, I found this one nearly hilarious.
His "gentleness" is at best a way for him to assuage his guilt of being a ruthless killer, at worst pure and simple hypocrisy.

None of the members of this team is remotely "gentle" and there is nothing to sympathize with.

• The tamer and the ogre have already been mentioned.
• The floating third-eye girl is paying a heavy price... for a power she took on herself. As it is, there is too little information, and what we have is not relatable. Maybe she chose this willingly as she wanted the power in and of itself, like most stereotypical villains. Who knows?
• The devil-type is not here for revenge? This makes things even worse. He's a weak mind who craves the attention of his hierarchy. That's way less sympathetic as an aggrieved soul who wants revenge for his brother.

Was the author even trying? It's cheap and completely misses the mark.

This short assassination arc is pretty good, but it would have worked significantly better without this chapter that only manages to break the mood.

[GridLite]

bruh was the sob backstory even necessary when they're just gonna die anyway?

[nyaasar]

We will all go home together.

Exactly the thing you shouldn't say while on a risky mission.

Changing the names of the demons? I thought (in terms of when/during the time this was uploaded) that the anime already caught up to this bit?? I dunno, just think using the anime names would’ve made more sense unless that is what they did, in which case idk then.

Great comments to have sat and read through this chapter, nice that we got a full one. Can’t wait for the next one that’s also hopefully a full one. Haven’t checked, lol idk.

If Mabel’s fighting…is Amiyu also? Since if she’s supposedly weaker than Grey right now, don’t think she can defeat these demons regardless of how great her growth rate is, lol. Not like they’re lesser demons either, like the ones she DID defeat. Not sure if there’s a level-up system here, but just based on the potential experience she WOULD’VE gained from defeating the demon that Seika defeated during that banquet might’ve also shot her high enough to give her the ability to kill these guys. That, paired with the dungeon experience, that is, lol.

But yeah no, I get that the point is that she’s weak since he defeated any opposing enemies meant for her, but like, pretty sure the point is also that she NEEDS to be stronger (or at least appear to be) than him so that he wouldn’t stand out and so that he can just be her “shadow” in a way, lol. Guess not??

Also can’t remember, but was Seika the one who made the fog?? Hmm… if so, would he also chalk that up to secret Lamprogue techniques? Tbf water and fire can also make steam, but y’know.
